Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) - Rules of BehaviorThe Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) enhances the leadership skills of the incoming chapter board and future leaders with the purpose of improving chapter leadership and proper transition. Rules of BehaviorThe SHPE Rules of Behavior promotes professional development. The code is expected to be honored when individuals are representing SHPE events and all persons participating in SHPE activities. This code is in effect for all National SHPE activities. Weapons, Alcohol and DrugsUnder no circumstances should SHPE Conference participants be found in possession of weapons, illegal drugs or alcohol or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any participant contributing to the delinquency of a minor will face immediate disciplinary action, expulsion from SHPE Conference and possible law enforcement involvement. MedicationsIf you are taking prescribed medication you MUST inform conference coordinators and appropriate SHPE staff. Damage to PropertyAll rooms are equipped with standard furniture. Any damages incurred above and beyond normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of those assigned to the room. If individual responsibility cannot be determined, all guests assigned to the damaged room will be held equally responsible. Guests are not permitted to repair damaged property. All damaged property must be reported to the Registration Desk, which will make arrangements for necessary repairs and assess charges when appropriate. Fire HazardsCandles and Incense - Candles and incense are prohibited. Violations may be subject to disciplinary action. FurnitureAll rooms are equipped with standard furniture. Moving of furniture from room to room is prohibited. Every guest will be charged if these items are missing from the room at the time of check-out. GarbagePlease do not dispose of garbage outside the hallway of your room or leave full garbage cans in the hallway. GuestsNo guests will be allowed. Hall SportsConference guests may not engage in any sport or sport related activities in the lobby, hallways or stairwells. In addition, guests may not use water pistols, super soakers, or any other mechanism that projects water or any other liquid inside the building. Skateboarding, Roller-skating, RollerbladingSkateboarding, roller-skating and rollerblading are prohibited in lobby areas, hallways, rooms, lounges and any other public areas inside the building. Violation may result in confiscation and disciplinary action. Quiet HoursIn all areas, reasonable quiet is expected at all times. Repeated, excessive noise by a particular guest/room may result in confiscation of the source of the problem (i.e. radio, television). AttendanceThe conference agenda has been designed to allow ample time between events. All attendees are expected to be on time and attend all events and workshops. IlnessAttendees must contact the conference coordinators if they are ill.. Please bring your medical insurance card/information in case of an emergency. Violation of the CodeAttendees will face disciplinary action and expulsion from the conference without a refund for accumulating three (3) demerits. Demerit System:
Attendees will face immediate disciplinary action and expulsion from the conference without a refund for the following infractions and will be prohibited from attending SHPE national and regional events during the fiscal year.
