At SHPE Conference 2015 in Baltimore, the Deans’ Summit welcomed 35 attendees, primarily deans and associate deans, from institutions across the country.   The Deans’ Summit 2015 provided a forum for academic leaders to discuss issues of diversity in STEM.  Elevating and advancing the momentum from last’s years dialogue, this year’s forum of invited deans and academic leaders will deliberate on the following key topics: (1) the ASEE pledge actions for diversity goals, (2) the state of Hispanics in STEM, (3) academic partnership opportunities to address specific issues in diversity.  The conversations will be transcribed and shared with deans nationally.  The goal of the Deans’ Summit 2016 is to strengthen the ties between SHPE and academia, in support of their common mission to graduate more diverse technical talent and to develop students for success in the workforce.
