  • When can I access the Career Fair?

This year's Career Fair & Graduate School Expo will be held on Thursday and Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm each day in Hall E of the Orange County Convention Center West Concourse. As part of our safety protocols and line management updates for 2021, Career Fair access has been redesigned.

Each day half of all onsite attending student participants will receive early access to the Career Fair from 10am-2pm before the Career Fair opens for general access from 2-4pm. This provides dedicated time with less attendees to assist you with getting your chance to talk to our companies, government agencies, and universities who will be onsite to meet you.

During your onsite check-in process, the registration staff will provide student participants with a color-coded lanyard. The color of the lanyard will indicate whether you will receive early access to the Career Fair on Thursday or Friday. You must check in onsite to receive your color designation. This will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thursday early access will be given to undergraduates who register onsite first. Once those are all handed out, then Friday early access will be given out.

During the time when a student doesn't have early access to the Career Fair, each student may attend conference sessions. The Career Fair will be open to ALL attendees from 2-4pm on Thursday and Friday.

We do ask that attendees not line up until 9:30am each morning for entry to the career fair. Signage will also be made available onsite with times and designated entry locations. The main entry point for the Career Fair is in the West Concourse, E/F Lobby.

Professionals and graduate students may access the Career Fair at any time when it's open.

  • Where can I find a list of Career Fair participants?

We have a growing list of exhibitors which consist of Fortune 500 companies, colleges and universities, start-ups, government agencies, and nonprofits. As these exhibitors sign up, they will be added to the list of sponsors.

  • Why should I upload my resume?

Top corporate and government partners are looking to SHPE for talented STEM graduates! The majority of companies are pre-screening candidates through our portal and scheduling interviews that take place during the convention. All before you are even onsite. Be sure to upload your updated resume here before October 22. Our partners are looking for all levels of experience.

  • Where do I upload my resume?

You can upload your resume to the Career Center at https://careercenter.shpe.org/. Be sure to check the box to indicate that you are attending.

Yes, it is always handy to have extra copies on hand. You never know who you will meet at the convention! We also offer a Resume Review service as part of your convention registration. This is an opportunity to meet with a professional/representative to get your resume critiqued or print out extra copies of your resume. And we will have resume print stations available in the career fair and around registration for any last minute needs!
