In this workshop, we empathize with the fears our Latinas in STEM face when "interrupting", and share tips to unlock our valuable voice. Participants will practice confidence in small groups, and together we will build a community were everyone is listened.

    About 1 in 5 Latinxs between the ages of 18-35 identify as LGBTQIA+, and Latinxs are the most likely ethnicity group to identify as LGBTQIA+. This workshop will feature a panel of LGBTQIA+ professionals in STEM. Queer Latinxs will be able to meet role-models and find a supportive community to help them address the challenges while recognizing the value of their intersectionality as they navigate the STEM professional fields. Allies of the LGBTQIA+ community will also be able to learn effective allyship practices and gain a deeper understanding of LGBTQIA+ inclusivity.
